Simon de Zoete

Simon was formerly Deputy Chairman of CSFB (Europe).  His career has spanned over 35 years in the City at CSFB and its predecessor companies, Barclays de Zoete Wedd and de Zoete & Bevan.  Simon is Chairman of the City of London Investment Trust plc.

Sebastian Lyon - Chief Executive

Sebastian graduated from Southampton University in 1989 and worked at Singer & Friedlander Investment Management and MGM Assurance.  In 1995 he joined Stanhope Investment Management (the management company for the GEC Pension Fund) where he jointly managed the £2 billion equity portfolio and the Fund’s asset allocation.  He was appointed Director in 1999.  In 2000 he left to establish Troy.

Francis Brooke – Investment Director

Francis graduated from Edinburgh University in 1986, following which he worked at Kleinwort Benson Securities and Foreign & Colonial Management Ltd, where he was appointed Director in 1995. From 1997 to 2004 he worked for Merrill Lynch Investment Managers as a Director, and managed over £1.5 billion of UK Equities. He was also a member of both the Asset Allocation & Sector Strategy Committees at MLIM. In 2004 he left to join Troy.

Michael Lester
Michael is Senior Counsel of DLA Piper UK.  Previously he was Group Legal Director of BAe Systems plc and a Director and Vice Chairman of the General Electric Company plc (GEC).

David Newlands
David is Chairman of Tomkins plc, Kesa Electricals plc and PayPoint plc.  He was formerly Finance Director of the General Electric Company plc (GEC).
