    Chairman

    Jan was Chairman of Merrill Lynch International Debt Capital Markets for 10 years.  He had previously been Head of Global Debt Origination at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson which had acquired the credit research boutique Luthy Baillie which he had co-founded in 1990.  Prior to that he worked for 12 years at Lehman Brothers where he was a member of the Executive Management Committee in Europe.

    Sebastian Lyon
    Chief Executive, Investment Director

    Before establishing Troy Asset Management in 2000, Sebastian was a Director at Stanhope Investment Management (the management company for the GEC Pension Fund) where he jointly managed a £2 billion equity portfolio and was also responsible for asset allocation. He was previously employed by Singer & Friedlander Investment Management. Sebastian graduated from Southampton University in 1989. Sebastian is also a Treasurer of Childhood First.

    Investment Director

    Before joining Troy Asset Management in 2004, Francis was a Director at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, where he was responsible for over £1 billion of UK Equities. He was also a member of Merrill’s Asset Allocation and Sector Strategy Committees. Francis was previously employed at Foreign & Colonial Management Ltd, where he was appointed Director in 1995, and at Kleinwort Benson Securities, where he began his career in 1986, after graduating from Edinburgh University.

    Simon de Zoete
    Non-Executive Director

    Simon was Chairman of Troy from 2003 until July 2011.  His City career spanned over 35 years with CSFB and its predecessors, Barclays de Zoete Wedd and de Zoete & Bevan.  His final role in that organisation was Deputy Chairman of CSFB (Europe).

    James is Chief Executive Officer of Findlay Park LLP which he co-founded in 1997. He began his City career with Hoare Govett in 1978 and was a fund manager and Director of Foreign and Colonial Management Limited from 1983 until 1997. James has an outstanding long term investment track record in US equities.

    Simon was formerly Managing Director of Goldman Sachs International and Chairman of Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, he is currently non-executive Chairman of Rolls Royce Holdings plc and is Deputy Chairman and senior independent non-executive director of HSBC Holdings plc. He is also a non-executive director of Berry Brothers & Rudd, The Economist Newspaper Limited, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden Limited, a trustee of the Eden Trust and also a founding member of Robertson Robey Associates.
